Learners begin the task of learning about their own communities through developing community action projects in their Pastoral Care and Community Experience time, to design solutions to real problems in the world.
These projects begin in the Early Years within our own school community and then as their skills develop, they move from acting locally to thinking globally.
Students in Year 6 volunteered to be Mini Vinnies Leaders and coordinated a Winter Warmers fundraiser for St Vincent de Paul as seen in the above photo.
McAuley Community School continues a long tradition of caring for families within our community.
A dedicated group of staff and parents/caregivers in our school community work together on McAuley Community Care. Its purpose is to support and care for families in times of need.
This behind the scenes practical support is appreciated at times of illness or loss in the family. Even the joy of a new baby at home may be a challenging time and McAuley Community Care is there to support families.
If you become aware of a family who would benefit from McAuley Community Care, please email email@example.com or speak to your child’s Educator or the Front Office team, in confidence.
We are always seeking expressions of interest to join our team for meal preparation or to assist in fundraising. May we ask you to email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We are so grateful to all our volunteers for your time.
