Community Partnerships

Learning through community

Learners begin the task of learning about their own communities through developing community action projects in their Pastoral Care and Community Experience time, to design solutions to real problems in the world.

These projects begin in the Early Years within our own school community and then as their skills develop, they move from acting locally to thinking globally.

Students in Year 6 volunteered to be Mini Vinnies Leaders and coordinated a Winter Warmers fundraiser for St Vincent de Paul as seen in the above photo.

Parish Partnerships

McAuley Community School has a strong, collaborative relationship with the Brighton Parish Community based on mutual trust, respect, shared responsibility and excellent communication.

Together we foster the spiritual formation and education of all learners with faith at its centre and seek to provide partnership strategies that can be used to support the faith journey of all families.

School community

Upon enrolment your family becomes part of the McAuley school community and is invited to participate in the various events and projects that occur throughout the year.

All enrolling parents and extended family are welcome to attend the Parents and Friends meetings. Your time, ideas and energy are valued contributions to the life of our School.

You can become Registered Volunteers. Getting involved is easy. We will support you to become a Registered Volunteer and obtain a Working with Children Clearance.

We appreciate any time you can give for:

  • helping in the Learning Neighbourhoods
  • supporting excursions
  • volunteering in the Canteen
  • coaching an Out of School Hours Sports team
  • volunteering to participate in or coordinate other school activities
