Strategic Plan

The McAuley Community School Strategic Plan 2020-2023 is being developed by the School Board in consultation with parents. This critical document aims to assist the school in determining the course of action throughout this time. Inspired by our vision and CESA’s Living Learning Leading Framework, it will outline our priorities and ambitions under the following headings:

  1. Catholic Identity: This priority ensures that McAuley Community School consciously and conscientiously evaluates, refines and expresses its Catholic identity and Mercy tradition inheritance in ways that address the assessed needs of learners and their families;
  2. Learning and Teaching: The emphasis placed on this priority enables the school leadership team to give absolute primacy to learning and teaching, and to forming and enabling each learner to become a thriving person, capable learner and leader for the world God desires;
  3. Stewardship: This priority amplifies the necessity of effective planning for now and the future, to ensure that the school’s physical, financial and human resources, are best used to promote the mission of the school and the ambitions of the community.


Each year, the Director of Catholic Education is required to report to the Australian Government Minister for Education, on the compliance of all Catholic schools in South Australia with the regulations of the Australian Education Act 2013.

Annual Reports

Each year, our school produces an Annual Report certifying the school is compliant with all requirements of the Australian Education Act 2013. This report outlines the school's performance and position in the following key areas:

  • contextual information about the school including the characteristics of learners at the school;
  • learner results in NAPLAN;
  • parent, learner and educator satisfaction with the school;
  • school income broken down by funding source;
  • commentary on the school’s achievements and progress against the previous year’s School Improvement Plan;
  • learner reports; and
  • educator performance and development.
